  • Description

Momentum is from a series of artwork of self-love and respect titled Comfort.  In this particular piece, the figure's face is covered by a sheet with the top half of her body exposed. The opaque cloth is symbolic of blocking her view from harm, almost choosing not to see what she is getting herself into, and letting the moment take her rather than thinking about the consequences.

This piece, layered with oil, is only painted with a palette knife and fingers—no brushes.
